Camping maybe, but most places I stayed at were from necessity. While I did not come around to the Industry until 1980, I do regret not sleeping in a caboose as a regular "thing". Lets see the:YMCA in Portsmouth, VA, a much better step up from the dorm at the yard, a room at Petersburg VA; the Fireman's House in Richmond,VA (where you could see the outside from the inside through the flooring); The best was my 25 year old camper in Florence, SC when i worked for AMTRAK. Did I mention my house was 2 1/2 hours north of the crew base? AH yes the good life. Paul.
