You never said how long you had for this little excursion. The only fault I see is you spend most of your time looking at old relics from the past versus what we still have running today. When we went to Europe in the 70's folks asked us if we saw Paris and other sights. My reply was "No we went for Steam, and we can always go back for the sight seeing later". So now the regular service steam is gone but the tourist stuff is still there. Visit the C&TS - ride one day, chase Chama to Cumbres the next day and move on. You could easily work it in on the By-way trip from Durango to Chama. With the colors I think you will enjoy it. In 2014 we went out on a two week trip. All spent on the D&S(2 days), and the C&TS(8-10 days). Priorities Man, priorities!!!!
