I echo John's comments. There is not much to see in Montrose, the yards are pretty much as they were in D&RGW days, but not much traffic on the UP these days. Ouray has nothing to see from RR days, the Silverton Northern ROW is a fun drive. The D&S is schedule to resume runs out of Durango on the 21st. The drive from Durango to Chama is well worth the extra time it takes and the C&TS of course.
