Dave,
You should have seen the concentric photo lines at the 2011 NRHS convention with 4449 up Stampede Pass, at Easton, WA.
Countless people would yell at anyone who'd dare to step into the 'shot' the previous ones thought they owned. It was downright hysterical. If I hadn't already gotten the spot I wanted, it would have bene tempting to have walked right into the center of the shot of some of those jerks, but that'd spoil it for those who
weren't doing that.
I remember a NS steam program trip that had a photo line in the middle of nowhere, and there were no chasers as it was near no roads. The entire line was looking across a corner of a farmer's field and when the farmer came out to see what the heck was going on, people were comically rude to him to get the [bleep] out of their shot,
while standing on his own land. The farmer, then realizing what was going on, got even by going away, then driving his farm truck through his own property just as the train came up, spoiling
everyone's shot. Mine too, but I could see where the farmer was coming from, so I wasn't too ticked off (I'd have done when he did if it were me).
