Before the locomotive moved east, I understand that it was out front of an automobile dealership(?) in the west Los Angeles area. Some people involved with Orange Empire Ry Museum expressed interest in the locomotive between themselves -- I don't know if any real inquiries were made about the locomotive.
The small size of the #5 -- a former sugar plantation engine -- made it seem to me that it was a caricature of a locomotive; like a junior version of Kahului #12.
The #5 could be a decent locomotive for a relatively level, small operation -- but not on a mountain railroad.
