Thanks for the kind words! We are currently beginning the process of building the passenger car trucks 292, 256, and business car F require. This means for at least the next year 292 will run on the adapted arch bar trucks. For this reason, the car will be used for special charter work only. In addition, these all wood coaches would not play nicely in consist with our steel coach fleet without being handled on the rear. This would negatively impact the parlor car experience we provide, so this is not something we are considering at this time. The historic trainset will be used as a unit with the 168 as motive power and will be an extra fare premium experience that operates on a reduced schedule in addition to the regularly scheduled trains. The business model for this train indicates it will pay its own way, and will allow C&TS to fully fulfill its mandate as a heritage and living history institution. Work on the next coach begins June 1st!
