Which K's, Mike?
Don't the K-27's date from 1905? That would make them 65 when the C&TS got going in 1970. The K-36's were about twenty years younger than that, with the K-28's a bit older and the K-37's three and five years younger still. Of course the C&TS has no K-28, and #463 didn't join the roster for quite a while after 1970.
