No, but when you think about it, over a given distance, smaller diameter drivers means more revolutions with resultant
increased wear on the wheels. That's one small advantage that Heisler had with their 40" drivers.

I realize that some really larger Shays like the W.M. 6 at Cass have 48' drivers, but these were not the norm as there were
so few of them constructed.
