That "wild eyed foamer" is Loren Jahn. ( not Frank Jahn ). He is one of the most talented artists I have ever known and his dedication to preserving and or recreating historic railroad equipment is unmatched. Loren did all the art design work for Elsa based upon Billmeyer & Smalls builder photos of E&P cars . The photos came from the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. He has also done much of the art work on the equipment at the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City. So, when you see all the fine art work on that museums equipment, most of it is Loren's work.
If anyone wants a perfectionist to work on their project you cannot have a better artist than Loren. He lives in Reno. I am eternally grateful for his help and friendship throughout the Elsa project. By the way.....Loren is a naturally very cheerful fellow.....hence the big smile.
