Questions on firing;

How fast does shoveling coal effect the boiler pressure? Does it take a 10 or 20 seconds to notice the change, or is it more instant?

Is it much faster under speed / load than when sitting stationary?

Is there a difference in firing a super heated loco over a soaker?
