the boiler & steam motor are still there & have not changed. the cars & all other stuff have turned to dust. it's pretty easy to get there. ride the train to cascade and it's just north west of the bridge. or you can take the purgatory trail (it's across hwy 550 from purgatory ski area oops i mean durango mountain resort) it's about a 3 mile hike down to cascade (easy) then it's about 3 miles back up to 550 (hell)
