Hi,
I can not address what
Locomotives of the Rio Grande might have in error. Let me work through this.
Locomotives of the Rio Grande page 34 claims Class 75 being five (5) narrow gauge 2-8-0s being built by Baldwin for D&RGW Ry in 1881. 16x20" cylinders. 36" gauge. Wt 69000#. 16,320 TE.
155-157 Class 46's are claimed to be 45" gauge on the same page and same book as above. According to
Rio Grande to the Pacific page 41. Your statements are confirmed .
Assuming you did not get your information from
Locomotives of the Rio Grande 2nd edition 1983 (safe assumption I think), then these are errors in the
Locomotives of the Rio Grande.
Errors can come from anywhere and confuse us all. That is why I try to confirm anything with at least two matching sources. It is just prudent.
Thanks for the clarification.
