Back in the 1950's my father moved two EBT passenger cars (one baggage, one combine) from Orbisonia to Ann Arbor, Michigan using an Autocar cab over. The front of the car rested on the fifth wheel and the rear was supported on a custom built dolly. Not sure if the front bolster kingpin was what engaged the fifth wheel or not. I was 9 at the time and he's no longer around to ask. I've got a photo someplace. The rig was solid enough to travel on the PA turnpike.
