The pump was indeed operable in 1970. I was present when it ran. Curiously, it was very quiet. All you could here was a rather soft "whump-whump-whump".
But now I am concerned about its wherabouts. I hope that you are right, Russ, about it being loaned out for safekeeping, just so long as possession doesn't become nine tenths of the law. I just hope that it doesn't become one of those unsolved mysteries like the apparent appearance of a 480 pilot plow in Durango.
I'm going to follow up on this from the Commission.
