The tanks are still in the river, but they're pretty hard to see. I don't think one is from the number 4 though as there is a photo of the roundhouse taken in 1941 and the tender for number 4 is sitting out front slightly derailed. If I remember correctly the tanks at Bates were believed to be from the Candelaria and one of the former Rio Grande consolidations. Nobody ever found any builders numbers stamped in them though.
