The interesting thing about the rescue train is how many of the locomotives (or at least parts of them) used on it still remain to this day. The W.H. Eccles #3 obviously, but then the boilers for the BWP #3 and the OLC #104 are also still around. As to the SVRy #4, I remember Ron Harr telling me that one of the tenders that were in the creek at Bates was off a Tonopah engine...maybe the #4? I seem to remember hearing those tenders were gone the last time someone went looking for them, but it's pretty cool to think how much of that one train really survived.
