its a good suggestion chris, and its worked for me before, but unfortunately not in this case , i have borrowed books on the cumbres and toltec and we have a state wide system, but no luck on Polley's works.
there are sites on the net that supposedly offer a free download of the book in pdf format and as its out print i am slightly tempted to try them out of desperation but invariably they are scams and are to be avoided. i'm not taking that chance. even browsing for a download led me to a site that told me i had malware, another scam trying to get one to download software to fix a non existent problem.
i found a site today that wants 320 british pounds for the second volume, thats getting way over the top., i also appears the more i search for a copy the greater the price, now found one for 1800 bucks, i think my scouring the net is prompting bots to put the price up as they perceive there is extra demand !
what i need is someone with the book to tell me if its worth the money as sometimes i have bought items and they really are not what i need in order to recreate a route. i'd pay up to 200 US for it if its really informative . heck, i'd pay someone for a photocopy of it .
