re the Polley books, , i just bought the first one, $70 US plus $50 postage , the total coast is around $150 the second book is going up in price rapidly, the trouble is being in australia, the dollar is 75c to your dollar, add probably $50 us postage onto that,. i'm looking at near on 270 bucks for the second book which i can't afford at this point in time . not being able to see what actually is in the books either is a deterrent.
what i am really looking for is info that allows me to make the route, grades, detailed route map ,trestle sizes , locations , images of buildings, plans etc,. Does anyone know if the Polley books provide that degree of information? i don't need masses of information about the mines or stage coach routes , i want stuff that relates to what i want to make thats visible on the route.
