Reviewing information in the Rail Annual 25, it lists 215 being painted "red" after the Pagosa Branch was closed. It stayed in this configuration until '41 when the cupola was removed and it was repainted green. So, was it just used as a way car or more to the point, how was it used during this time frame ('34-'41)?
