The Kiwanis excursion in the Fall of 196
2 had #483 on the point both westbound and eastbound between Alamosa and Durango, and #483 was clearly wearing the "portable" plow at the time. IIRC, our westbound trip on September 28 was the first passenger train to cross the new bridge on the relocated section between Gato and Arboles. Here's a silhouette of #483 crossing the bridge eastbound on September 30
