The new house required the realignment of the county road which is our right of way. It was laid out in cooperation with the owner, our planning commission, and the county, and his comment was that he'd rather have several trains a day come past his house than 100 ATVs daily. Interesting rumor, but no basis in fact. His property includes the Waldheim mansion site which is across the river from his new house. And he gets his water from the historical society pipe line. Further on up the river, at the Mears-Wilfley mill site and Arastra Gulch, that property owner is quite enthusiastic about seeing the railroad built.
