No new track laid but we have picked up several more loads of rail from Ridgway and a load of ties is next. All of us have been quite busy with our normal work loads, and this summer there has been a critical shortage of people available for work in the local stores and restaurants unlike any previous year I've seen. Seven day a week work loads for almost everyone on our committee and working group has left no time to work on the railroad. Rail hauling trips are made after work and end up going well into the dark. And we have been working on fund raising but for purchased work like dirt work, the local contractors have all been booked solid the entire summer--and when they work for us it is usually a part donation but they haven't had the time available. We do have rail laid out for several hundred feet for the next efforts but actual rail laying may be next year at this point.
