There have already been about 50 NNGC visitors at the WW&F including folks from Australia, Sweden, England and Austria. We are running trains between noon and 4 pm each day and each train has a photo stop and photo run-by.
The daily schedule is as follows:
Monday - Freight trains with some yard switching. There will be a crew doing track work on the new turntable lead.
Tuesday - Mixed trains with some yard switching plus the Model T railcar operating. Shop and car barn tours.
Wednesday - Passenger train (all varnish) with some morning switching. The railcar may run as the second section. Shop and car barn tours.
Thursday - Mixed trains with a changed consist so there will be some morning switch moves. The 1880 era riveting machine will be demonstrated from 2p - 4p in the shop. A special photographers train will run from 5 to 7 pm with a number of 1930 era scenes set up at various locations for still and video photographers. Some rare vintage trucks, may be part of the scenes, driving on the dirt road at Alna Center. As evening falls, oil fired markers, hand lanterns, coach lamps and station lights will be lit.
Friday - Passenger trains with some morning switch moves. The convention bus tour will arrive at Sheepscot for the lunch stop, shop tour and steam train ride.
