The plans from the D&RGW Chief engineer dept shows tipple is 60'-10" from the top of the ties to the peak 11'-11" to the bottom of the bucket pit. That means those 8' x 18' guide timbers for the buckets are just under 67', Big chunks of wood!

I gave the friends a copy of the original manual for the Fairbanks Morse "Y" Horizontal engine for the tipple. The book was found stuffed into the side of the building years ago. I got a couple of copies of it. The original should still be in the big cabinet in the Forerman's office.
