I was fortunate enough back in 1995 to have the caboose 0500 all to myself on one of those Cascade Canon trips. We were running late and full dark hit about Tacoma. With 476 on the point, watching the glow of the open firebox doors from the cupola under a full moon through the Animas gorge. Pure magic.
