EDA track grants

The track renovation work is being carried out with a series of grants from EDA's Denver office. The first grant funded work in 2000-2001. The second grant was approved last year and was used for the corrective work the FRA required last May. There is still about half of this grant remaining and it will fund, among other things, the corrective work at Windy Point. The Commission plans to request a third grant when grant #2 has been expended.
(The grant for locomotive work was requested from the Austin office and has not yet been awarded.)
