Re: Loading from an ore bin / tramway (links)

Thanks for all the information so far. Now I am wondering also about the tramway system used on the Sawpit and Omega bins. I believe these were two (2) rope systems and the remaining restored cableway on the Sawpit bin was only the carrier cables. Since the interior of the bin house is gone was this an automatic dump system as described in the linked literature. Perhaps Fritz knows some of the history of these tram lines which might have been documented for the reconstruction. If they ran at about 3 miles per hour and a bucket held 4-5 cubic feet of material that is going to take awhile to fill the bin
