Yes the Upper area of the station was comverted into living quaters for the Lively's son. That is also when the windows were added on the upper area of the station. If you look at W.J. Ewells drawings in the Gazette you will see that the upper windows on the east and west end of the station are different. that was because they used what ever windows they could get there hands on.
