Again not really what happened. Cedar Fair bad nothing to do with #3 and its intended visit to goose fest.
The decision to not go was made by Knott's employee's. There was some issues in the contract between Knott's and the CCRM that did not get resolved in time.
I don't want this to turn into a huge thing so please don't drag this on.
Knott's is not under FRA regulations so 41 and 340 do not meet any of there requirements. It would require a complete form 4 on the boiler and lots of other work to be compliant. Or the FRA would have to grant a big waiver, and even then the locos would still need work. Then there is insurance, and shipping, its a huge pain. Don't get me wrong I would love to see one of them on the D&S, but it would take a lot of effort on both sides to make it happen. But a for profit company that does not just operate trains, just doesn't understand.
