That's not really how it went down Bruce.
It was a few years ago now, but the manager of the dept(new guy) came up to the loco to talk to me and another employee while we were operating. We had to take a trip so we said hop on. While going around be asked "is this where people ride on a cab ride" we said yes, he said "oh I don't like that". Later he made the call of no more cab rides. We pleaded with them to reconsider but they said no.

Prior to that cab rides were a normal thing that management allowed. The old manager was a railroad employee years before and understood what it was to give a cab ride.
