In California there are several other groups.A group in San Luis Obispo is trying to put together a display and operating segment of the Pacific Coast Railway. There was a group trying to rebuild a segment of the Bodie and Benson, they had a flatcar. There is the Diamond and Caldor #4 Shay being rebuilt at the fair grounds in Placerville. The Duncan Mills station has been rebuilt on the original site complete with NPC caboose. And of course there is the Ardenwood Carter Brothers group in Fremont who have recreated a copy of the Centerville branch of the South Pacific Coast.
