Re: Car Storage Building(s)

Whenever this topic comes up I always think of the shed my father built on the farm in the mid-seventies. basically it was old telephone poles, connected by 2x4's to which 14 foot lengths of sheet tin were nailed. (of course it was *very* windy the days we were putting the tin on.) The roof was trusses made of more 2x4's with the same tin over them. The last time I went by the old place (2010) it was still as good as when we built it.

Now that was about 30' by 50' but I can't see any reason why the same kind of structure couldn't be expanded to much larger size. It wouldn't be pretty, but it would provide an enclosed space to store things out of the weather at a relatively low cost. Hey, that was what Dad was aiming for, someplace to put the more expensive equipment under cover that wouldn't break his budget!
