Moving milk on the D&RGW/RGS?

The photo at the bottom of the page shows a train entering Chama from the east. On the platform at the very edge of the photo is what appears to be stacked milk cans. I don't recall ever reading a single line anywhere regarding milk transport on the Colorado narrow gauge lines. Does anyone have any info to pass on here? Would love to hear about it!
