Hi Micheal,
There is always a problem of looking at an issue from a proper point of view. If you are too close, other items effecting the decision are missed. If you are to far back, the problem is clouded with irrelevant issues. (Can not see the forest for the trees).
No one knows the proper view. Just knowing that you can not get too close or to far is the bulk of the problem. That's what I was trying to get across and I am glad you have seen that the issues in the details of an example are not always relevent. It is making sure you find the methodology and not the details of the example that is important. Thanks for being able to understand what I was trying to say.
I chose the wild west village on the tail track of Big Horn to try to keep the issue of not being historc from being a problem. The tail track is (I think) some 1000-1500 feet long and is separated from the mainline of the C&TS to try to minimize the "it's not historic" argument.
Some people like my sister can not separate the example from the concept. If a second example is given, they get caught up in the details of the second example instead of being able to see the common items of the two examples. It is one reason I am unfortunately estranged from my sister.
Run with new ideas and try to look at it from outside for other possibilities.
Great job!!!!
