There was quite a bit of trading, etc. of ng equipment mentioned here.
As I recall, CSRM obtained two engines from the FC Mineral de Chihualhua in Mexico in 1972. One was an ex-Thunder Lake Lumber 2-8-0 built in 1925. This was traded in 1973 to Rinelander, Wisconsin for the ex-DSP&P #191 that had later operated on the Thunder Lake and then displayed in town. This exchange brought the one remaining DSP&P engine back to Colorado.
The other engine obtained from Mineral de Chihuahua was a 2-8-0 built in 1904 for the FC Potosi y Rio Verde. This engine was sold in 1975 to Genesee County Parks & Recreation (Huckleberry RR). This was because the engine was outside the scope of CRRM's collection and Mission. The two engines had to be obtained togeather to get the one to trade to Rinelander. A very nice looking engine; too bad it is out of service -- I bet that the boiler may not meet current codes.
I believe that the two coaches were sold to Huckleberry at that same time.
