"Ticket to Tomahawk"

This is a rare error in Cinders & Smoke then.
Reread my post above. #280 was Gold in 1950, either 284 or 320 was not painted gold until at least 1952.
The other thing is that although I don't recall when "Ticket to Tomahawk" was filmed, none of these cars appeared in the movie in "Grande Gold" livery. I remember only Combine #212 in that movie, and it was painted kind of a bland color that may have been yellow, but it was not "Grande Gold". The movie "Denver & Rio Grande", which was filmed in 1951 did feature the Silver & Gold paint scheme.
It first appeared in 1949 at the Chicago Railroad Exposition, as you will find in last week's posts.
