We feel the same way about running 'historic' trains on the D&SNG line. While the REALLY old trains (pre-1960s) are a great way to relive history, running photo trains with the D&SNG lettering is historic also, going back to 1981...34 years ago. AND when the photos taken go viral around the world, it is beneficial to see the D&SNGRR name getting exposure. This helps people know we are a company still running this train regularly and where they can look up information about us and hopefully come buy a ticket to help keep steam/narrow gauge railroading alive.
This is not saying we won't be relettering for D&RGW trains ever again but rather explaining why we also keep D&SNG photo trains in the mix.
