OK this will probably be my last OT comet post for now. I headed back out to my Magma AZ NG viewing site with my DSLR strapped on to a tracking telescope. The hope was to be able to get some views of the tail with long exposures and the camera tracking the comet. The first view is a 10.5 second exposure with a tail faintly visible behind the comet. I also managed to capture something else streaking across the frame.
This next shot was a 90.6 second exposure trying to capture more of the tail. This results in streaking of the background objects but it really helped to bring out the tail. Overall I was pleased with the results achieved on what would be considered a very low end tracking mount for astrophotography.
