As you pointed out above, Kelly's was south of The Shamrock, three or four doors down,
and the BoxCar Café is well to the north. IIRC, Kelly's was deep and fairly narrow, with
booths along the north wall and tables in the middle; the BoxCar is shallow and wide,
no booths, and tables scattered all around - NOT the same place.
I do agree that there is a gift shop where Kelly's used to be, but in a relatively new building toward the back of the lot with some empty space between it and the sidewalk. I'll try to find that '56 issue of TRAINS mentioned above, and see if that photo was it - which would give us the name of the Café.
