I cannot speak for Paul (the team leader), but I see no reason why not as long as the tool is not in an unsafe condition. With inherently dangerous tools such as chain saws you better check with your team leader before you bring that out. Please remember that many homeowner grade tools fall far short of some of the jobs we face clearing the ROW.

If you are already a Friends member you can probably PM Paul on the Friends forum and tell him what you have in mind. Paul and I worked together one year on the telegraph poles and he is a great guy, you will enjoy working with him on a team.
