I guess I've been confused for a long time about the C&S and CB&Q shops. I thought the C&S had their roundhouse etc at Rice yard, next to the Platte river, where Elitch's is now, and the C&S standard gauge and narrow gauge work was done here. The Q had shops in the area now bounded by I25, I70, 58th Ave and North yard (roughly southwest of Globeville smelter), and at least one of the shop buildings still stands. Can someone clear this up for me?
