I don't have any old pics, but I work for an oil refiner and we have rail unloading at our rail terminal and refineries. I might be able to share some pics of the type of equipment they would have. Our refineries were build in the 20's. We have old photos from then too.
Here are a few questions:
How many cars did the chama terminal hold? 6? Did they load or unload? on both sides? Was there a tank to hold the crude? Where was the tank? Was there a pipeline there or did they transfer from truck to rail? Did they load a whole set of cars at once? ( that is what we do). Did the terminal have steam to heat the cars? (We have steam to warm up heavy weight oil to transfer it. )
