I'd suggest that you start with the RRobb Narrow Gauge Pictorial V6 Motive Power of the C&S book.
Followed by either the NG&SL Gazette's that had articles called Up Clear Creek on Harry Brunk's UC&N version of the C&S.
These fabulous articles are available as a collection in book form titled "Up Clear Creek on the Narrow Gauge" and the recently published companion volume "More Up Clear Creek on the Narrow Gauge - Modeling the C&S"
