2-6-2 #11 was run a few times on the Hartwell RR in 1982-83 before its owner, Frank Pollock, was killed in a car accident. It has since wound up in Tennessee or kentucky, I believe. I remember chasing a trip with #11. It had two old coaches, and it was everything the little pot could do to get up some of the grades. One of the Hartwell's 44-tonner was following, and on a couple of the tougher hills, it shoved the train from the rear. I remember clearly the flames blasting out the bottom of the firebox as the little Prairie walked up a couple of the hills. On the return trip, they came charging downgrade to the trestle across a part of Hartwell lake and then up the other side with a huge cloud of oily black smoke. Wish I'd had a camera along! It was very obvious that the road had orginally been narrow gauge....
