CTSRR Commision meeting

February 08, 2003 07:02PM
As has been posted here earlier:
After a second executive session,
The RGRPC and the Commission signed the memorandum covering MANAGEMENT of the railroad through December 31, 2003.
According to my sources, the RGRPC will start on Monday morning, under the memorandum, with contract details to be worked out.
This agreement covers management of Operations, shop, marketing and ticketing, etc.
As I understand it, track is not yet part of it.
As I have said before, both publicly, and privately to members of the RGRPC board and management, this is not the outcome I would have preferred.
However, we need a running railroad, and this appears to be the best way to get it running.
I have also stated both publicly, and privately, to members of the RGRPC board and management, that if/when the RGRPC gets the railroad back, I will give them my 100% support and I will do whatever I can to help make the 2003 season a success for everyone involved. The RGRPC has my best wishes.
This does not mean a 'whitewash'. When the news is good, I will report it at The Goat If the news is bad, I'll report it at The Goat.
I fervently hope that all the news is good.
