Found some pictures (see below); one small correction.
The lid of a Lunk doesn't thread at the outside, it threads over the spud at the top. The acorn then locks it down. The whistles with the sawed off spud I was talking about had it sawed off right where the threads in the lid end.
The last pic shows the inside of Powell. You can see how the longest chamber opens into the sphere at the top.
