Re: What NG railroad was the TRRd?

September 17, 2014 05:05PM
After an afternoon of research, it turns-out that the TRR 2-4-2T was built by Danforth (Cooke Locomotive & Machine) as c/n 740-7/1871. She was 3' gauge with 9x12 cylinders and 36 inch drivers. In 1906 she was sold to the Southern Iron & Equipment Co. (Atlanta, GA) rebuilt as an 0-4-2T and sold (1907) as Lane Brothers #9, of Esmont, VA.(on the Nelson & Albermarle RR)
