So Don Gibbs got the through train. Andy may have been on the helper. I think only four engineers worked out of Durango in the late 1960s. H.D. Gibbs was No. 22 on the Alamosa-Durango combined list.
Fireman A.F. Tafoya is not on my 1967 list but he is on my 1961 list. He had a hire date of 5-2-1961. I don't know why he was omitted from the 1967 list because he obviously was on the narrow gauge then.
Alamosa engineer John Lira was No. 11 in 1967 while Bob Morgan was No. 13. The firemen were Stanley Smith and Gail Cunningham. Both had more seniority than Don Gibbs. Working out of Alamosa they probably worked more.
In another purely personal, Bob Morgan was the engineer on two of my four trips to Silverton. He, Carl Jack and Lee Otteson would bid on the Silverton for the summer even though they lived in Alamosa. The Shawcroft brothers also came over. This was in the 1970s.
