Tall Timber has there own motorcars with trailer and haul supplies in from Rockwood. There is lots of LCL (which the railroad charged on stated weight)freight that is hauled in the form of rafts, kayaks, camping gear backpacks, and bicycles. While I was there, the Tacoma caretaker moved out of his residence using a boxcar pulled by a speed-swing. There was also a group of hunters that shipped in there hunting camp to Elk Park using a full boxcar set out at Elk Park. I've also seen Needleton cabin owners move a variety of building materials in.

There is a percentage of D&SNG riders using it solely for transportation in and out of the wilderness area. Something I always thought was cool.
