Yes, I have shipped freight by train to Silverton--all as lcl in one of the boxcars--we've shipped the food supplies as noted, plywood, and ducting on several occasions. Bradshaw encouraged the view that the D&S was an operating railroad and would act as one. It was a relatively painless effort. There is the Minco spur below Elk Park that has been used on a number of times for mining exploration just south of Elk Park. That freight usually loaded out of Silverton--and that's both D&RGW and D&S.Big Horn sheep have been brought into Teft Spur as freight, plus the needs of Tall Timbers and Tacoma.
